    CBN Denies Approval Of MMM Scheme In Nigeria

    It was gathered that the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has again asked Nigerians to dismiss reports that it has approved the operation of Russian ponzi scheme, The Mavrodi Mondial Movement, otherwise known as MMM.

    The movement is a scheme that assures up to 30% interest of money invested.

    According to reports, the House of Representatives yesterday resolved to probe the internet-based wonder bank known as Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox (MMM) so as to save innocent Nigerians from falling prey to fraudsters and further experiencing financial ruin during recession.

    As a way out of the high unemployment rate in the country, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has flagged-off the 2016 cycle of his administration’s job creation scheme.

    The programme was flagged-off at Amukpe, Sapele Local Council.The governor said during the initial programme, a total of 17,173 private sector jobs of both skilled and unskilled workers were created through projects, policies and programmes out of which 6,800 were direct jobs while 10,373 were indirect jobs, of both skilled and unskilled workers.

    No fewer than 41, 161 graduates have benefitted from the Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) of the Federal Government and supervised by the Ministry of Finance.

    The Federal Government social investment programme aimed at recruiting 500,000 graduates and 100,000 trainees said it has received 749,000 applications as at the close of the online portal on 31st of August.
