    Oshiomhole appoints four new Permanent Secretaries

    Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has appointed four new Permanent-Secretaries in the State.

    Those appointed are Anthony Okungbowa, Ministry of Justice; Kadiri Bashiru, Secretary, Nigeria Labour Congress; Y.A. Imoudu, Chairman, Association of Secondary School Principals; and Obosamwinye Obazee, Headmistress.

    The swearing-in of the new appointees will hold on Friday (today) at 2pm at the old Exco Chambers, Government House, Benin City.

    Governor Ugwuanyi fires 16 education secretaries, water agency boss

    The Enugu State Government has sacked 16 out of the 17 local government education secretaries in the state.

    The workers were accused of conniving with ex-council chairmen in the State to perpetrate fraud.

    Also fired is the general manager of the State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency over poor performances, which it said had constituted a drawback to good governance in the state.

    Bauchi governor appoints 15 new permanent secretaries

    Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has appointed 15 new permanent secretaries (PS) as part of his administration`s ongoing civil service reform.

    A statement signed by Alhaji Bello Illelah, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Bauchi, said the appointment would reinvigorate the civil service.

    Illelah said the appointment, which takes immediate effect, was also aimed at better service delivery to the people of the state.
