    Lagos inaugurates 16-day contest against sexual, gender based violence

    LAGOS State government through the State’s Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) is partnering with Access Bank to commemorate 16 days of activism to end all forms of violence against women and children.

    According to the state government, over 1,500 children drawn from both public and private schools in the state will receive age appropriate sex education, among others during the period.

    A 56-year-old man, Abdullahi Zakari, who allegedly had sexual intercourse with his 18-year-old daughter, is to remain behind bars pending the perfection of his bail condition, a Lagos court has ruled.
