    Nigeria police stations get N15, 000 for running costs monthly

    According to reports, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr. Fatai Owoseni on Thursday said that a police station in Nigeria gets N45,000 in three months as running cost.

    Owoseni said this while addressing members of the Human Rights Defenders and Advocacy Centre, a civil society organisation, who protested to his office in Ikeja.

    The group urged the Federal Government to probe the embezzlement of funds meant for fuelling of patrol vehicles, stationery, uniforms and allowance for the Nigerian Police Force.

    NNPC increases fuel price by N4/litre at its mega stations

    It was gathered that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has increased the pump price of petrol by N4 at its mega stations.

    Fuel price, which has been sold for N141, is set to hike to N145 per litre. This increment came on Tuesday.

    The spokesman for the NNPC, Garba-Deen Muhammad, stated that no rule compelled any marketer to sell at a particular price.

    A price regime was introduced between N135 and N145 and one is expected to sell at within that range.

    NNPC stations increase fuel pump price

    It was gathered that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has jerked up pump price of petrol at its retail outlets.

    Petrol was hitherto sold to the public at N141 at NNPC mega stations and the company’s affiliates across Nigeria.

    It would be recalled that the federal government fixed petroleum at maximum price of N145 in May.

    The NNPC, however, dispensed at N141, saying it was in line with making the product affordable.

    Governor Jang’s administration sold seven state-owned filling stations – Director

    According to reports, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Plateau State under the administration of former Governor Jonah Jang sold seven state-owned filling stations to private individuals.

    Dauda Gashi, the Director of Commerce in the Plateau State Ministry of Commerce, made the disclosure on Thursday.
