    Senate decries rising medical negligence and the non-compliance, to hold health summit

    According to reports, the Senate has decried the high rate of medical negligence and the non-compliance with the National Health Act in the country.

    As a result, the upper chamber of the National Assembly said it would hold a stakeholders’ forum tagged ‘First Nigerian Medical Law Summit.’

    The Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Senator Olanrewaju Tejuoso, while addressing journalists on Thursday, stated that the forum was necessitated by the increasing petitions against medical institutions and personnel.

    According to reports, the Federal Government has been compelled to postpone a two-day stakeholders’ Summit on Niger Delta following strong protest by key figures in the region.
