Kerosene explosion in Ikono Ibom Clan, Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom has left two children of one Mr. Nsikak Michael dead, with three others injured.
The incident was said to have occurred when Mr. Michael, who operates a small poultry farm near his residence in Ikot Enyingne Ikono, was trying to light up a lantern to keep the birds warm in their cage.

Colonel Sani Usman, spokesperson for the Nigerian Army said in a statement on Thursday that earlier in the day, troops of 112 Battalion on patrol from Mafa to Dikwa in Borno State were ambushed at Ajiri village, by Boko Haram terrorists.
Although the soldiers successfully cleared the ambush, he informed that one soldier died in the process while an officer and 3 soldiers sustained various degrees of injury.
