    Trump’s transition to White House: Melania and son may stay in New York

    Donald Trump’s wife Melania and young son Barron will probably stay in New York when the president-elect moves into the White House, the transition team suggested Sunday.

    The parents are wary of pulling their son out of school now, team communications director Jason Miller told reporters.

    “There’s obviously sensitivity to pulling their 10-year-old out of school in the middle of the school year. A more formal statement will be coming in the future,” Miller said.

    Donald Trump denied Wednesday that his White House transition is in disarray amid reports of a backstabbing purge of mainstream Republican aspirants as he puts together his new administration.

    Obaseki’s inauguration: Oshiomhole appoints Edo SSG as transition committee chairman

    Edo State government has set up a 19-member transition committee headed by the Secretary to Edo State Government, Professor Julius Ihonvbere.

    The Chief of Staff to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Mr Patrick Obahiagbon, is the chairman of the inauguration committee.

    The committee is expected to ensure smooth transition of power and swearing in of the governor-elect of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

    The ceremony will hold on November 12, 2016.
