    According to reports, the authorities of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has said that the recent suspension of some lecturers in the institution is not aimed at suppressing the labour unions in the institution.

    The lecturers, who were leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, AAUA chapter, were suspended a few weeks ago for allegedly disturbing the peace of the institution.

    It was gathered that the Non-Academic Staff Union ‎(NASU), Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), on Thursday staged a protest and declared an indefinite strike to press home some demands.
