    UNIPORT students demand sacking of VC

    Angry students of the University of Port Harcourt yesterday called for the immediate removal of their Vice Chancellor, Prof Ndowa Lale, over what they described as his poor response to the incident that claimed the lives of their colleagues.

    The students, who pleaded anonymity, said at the school premises that the VC’s attitude to the students protest contributed to fueling the crisis.

    UNIPORT students shut down academic activities over increase in fees

    Students of the University of Port Harcourt have shutdown all academic activities in the institution.

    All entry and exit points in the institution have been placed under lock and key, leaving the management staff and students stranded.

    It was gathered that the students started the protest as early as 5a.m, Monday morning.
