    Forgery case verdict, victory for democracy – Saraki, Ekweremadu

    Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, yesterday described the verdict of the High Court of Federal Capital Territory dismissing the charges of forgery of the Senate Standing Orders 2015 and their subsequent discharge as a welcome development and a vindication of their position from the beginning of the case that they are innocent of the accusations leveled against them.

    PDP rejects Supreme Court verdict on Kogi governorship election

    According to reports, the Peoples Democratic Party has rejected the affirmation of Yahaya Bello as the validly elected governor of Kogi State by the Supreme Court.

    The party, however, said though it was against the outcome of the suit in which its candidate, Captain Idris Wada, was also a party, it would remain law abiding.

    The position of the party was contained in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Prince Dayo Adeyeye.
