    Investigate Arik Air for violation of safety rules – CSNAC urges NCAA

    According to reports, the Civil Society Network Against Corruption has urged the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to investigate the a commercial airline, Arik Air, for allegedly endangering passengers lives and violating safety rules.

    In a petition signed by CSNAC’s chairman, Olanrewaju Suraju, and forwarded to the aviation authority, the coalition said it gathered from sources within the aviation industry that the airline is committing variety of illegalities by encouraging its pilots to ignore regulations, among others.

    A former deputy speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Fred Omogberale, has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Benin against the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

    Omogberale is dragging the IGP to court over the alleged violation of his fundamental human rights to personal liberty, privacy and ownership of property.

    Court orders FRSC to pay lawyer N200,000 for rights violation in Ebonyi

    An Ebonyi State High court has ordered the state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, to pay the sum of N200, 000 to a legal practitioner in the state, Chinedu Ngele, for violating his fundamental human rights.
