    Stop Inspiring Violence: INEC Cautions Wike

    The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has pleaded to interested party in Rivers to refrain from making pronouncements that could overheat or instigate violence ahead of the state forthcoming re-run elections.

    The commission made the appeal in a statement signed Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, on Sunday in Abuja.

    INEC has fixed Dec. 10 to conduct re-run elections in Rivers to fill various seats in the National and the state House of Assembly.

    LAGOS State government through the State’s Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) is partnering with Access Bank to commemorate 16 days of activism to end all forms of violence against women and children.
