    REC says voters turnout impressive for Ondo governorship election

    Mr. Segun Agbaje, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ondo State, says the turnout of people across the state for the governorship election has been impressive.

    Agbaje added that card readers which malfunctioned will be replaced with the extra ones provided for the polling units.

    He said, “The turnout has been impressive. Card readers will not be a challenge because we have many extra ones if any one malfunctions.

    According to reports, the Independent National Electoral Commission has called for collective efforts towards addressing inducement of voters with money by political parties and their candidates during elections.

    The Edo State House of Assembly has called for the extension of the continuous voters’ registration in the state for one week to capture more voters.
