It was gathered that the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Oluwadare Bada, has withdrawn from tomorrow’s governorship election in Ondo State.
Bada made this known in a press statement he made available to journalists in Akure through the Director of Media of his Campaign Committee, Mr. Abiodun Oluwarotimi, yesterday.
In the statement, the NNPP candidate who is also an Akure man said he decided to withdraw from the race owing to community pressure from his primary constituency.
According to reports, the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday struck out the suit of former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Mr. Abdulmumin Jibrin, challenging his suspension from the House.
The judge, Justice John Tsoho, struck out the matter after Jibrin’s Counsel, Mr. Chukuma Nwachukwu, told the court that his client had filed a notice of discontinuance.

One of the judges recently arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, of the Federal High court Abuja, has withdrawn from the trial of former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki(rtd).
The judge announced his withdrawal from the former NSA’s trial on Tuesday before the court.
Ademola cited allegations of corruption levelled against him by the DSS, as the reason for his withdrawal.

According to reports, the Federal Government of Nigeria has filed a motion to withdraw the charge of criminal conspiracy against Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
Four months ago, government, through the Ministry of Justice, arraigned Saraki, Ekweremadu, alongside former Clerk to the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasu, and his deputy, Benedict Efeturi.

It was gathered the the trial judge of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, Justice John Tsoho on Monday withdrew from the ongoing case.
Tsoho announced his withdrawal from the trial at the Federal High Court, Abuja, while reacting to an application by Kanu’s lawyer, Chuks Mouma, who accused him of bias in the handling of the matter.
He said Kanu’s case file has been returned to the Chief Justice of the Court, Ibrahim Auta for reassignment.
