Thibaut Courtois has informed Chelsea supporters that ‘everything’s OK’ with his eye after pictures circulated of the goalkeeper on Wednesday.

The Blues shot-stopper found himself on the bench during Belgium’s 1-1 draw with the Netherlands, as Liverpool ace Simon Mignolet started the friendly at the Amsterdam Arena.

In the middle of the match, television cameras filmed a glum-looking Courtois sitting on Belgium’s substitutes bench with some sort of problem with his eye.

Many Chelsea fans were concerned ahead of their upcoming games against Middlesbrough and Tottenham but the 24-year-old has told them not to worry.

‘Everything’s ok with my eye, had it for 2 weeks and doesn’t effect my goalkeeping,’ Courtois told his followers on Twitter.

It will also come as a relief to Antonio Conte who has handed the shot-stopper eleven appearances in all competitions this term.
