Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could be facing his last chance at an elite club, according to Arsenal legend Ian Wright.

The Portuguese boss has seen his team lose three matches in a week, losing to Manchester City, Feyenoord and then Watford.

After an all-winning start prior to a nightmare week, the wheels appear to be coming off for Mourinho and some are questioning whether he can turn it around.

And Wright believes that if he doesn’t fix the problems at Old Trafford soon, Mourinho could find himself in managerial wilderness.

Wright asked: ‘Is Jose Mourinho in the last-chance saloon at this level?

‘Where does he go if it doesn’t work out?’

The former Arsenal striker also slammed Mourinho’s decision to blame Luke Shaw for Watford’s second goal.

‘Mourinho’s got bigger problems than Luke Shaw,’ he added.

‘[Paul] Pogba’s been poor since his debut. [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic’s link-up play is poor.

He’s trying to accommodate [Wayne] Rooney. There’s players in that squad like [Ander] Herrera, [Morgan] Schneiderlin, [Memphis] Depay and [Anthony] Martial, that should be able to do something.’
